An interior illustration from my first children’s book, Maggie Mab and the Bogey Beast, written by Valerie Scho Carey and published by Arcade Publishing, I was still learning to get comfortable with watercolor and played around with laying transparent green washes over my already painted fairies. This gave them a magical glowing quality that I was very happy with.
