The Art of
the Fairy Tale

Celebrating the imagination of childhood

“If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.”

— attributed to Albert Einstein

One plate at a time, Little Snow White is issued over the course of twelve months as a collected folio of signed and numbered fine art prints. Each plate is reproduced from an original watercolor painting and arrives with a vellum caption overlay, together forming a complete telling of the tale.

The collection begins June 1, 2026.

First shipments begin mid-June.

Why Snow White?

I was drawn to the earlier versions of Snow White, shaped by folklore before the tale became more familiar and increasingly sanitized in later retellings.

Yet what has always moved me is the unspoken mercy within the story. Snow White passes through a frightening forest with thorny undergrowth, yet escapes real danger; even the wild creatures let her pass unharmed. Kindness appears in unexpected places, and through each stage of the tale she moves forward despite repeated attempts on her life, and ultimately triumphs.

In this telling, the story is not a summary, but a sequence of events: jealousy, exile in the forest, refuge with the dwarves, and three attempts on her life by the disguised queen, before it reaches its dark and unexpected ending.

For those curious to read an older version of the tale, “Little Snow White” may be read here.
